I've been to see an Ovni Yellow Cupra T and it's a really nice car and drives great, but the colour is starting to fade, most noticeably where the wings / bonnet meet the bumper.

It's a good price but I'm wondering if the colour issue would just start annoying the hell out of me, what have other Ovni Yellow thought of it to live with? Do you now wish you'd bought a silver car? :)

alittle like red really, its just an un comon colour for a car that is alittle look at me' best i can explain, thats why people have this thing about it in my opinion, id have one wouldnt bother me to be honest

It's not so much the yellow that bothers me - even though my mates have informed me I'll look like a penis driving it... It's more the colour fade issue that I'm concerned about.

Yellow is the only colour in my eyes why be the same as eveyone else :D:D:clap:

I love the yellow, I have black and it's so hard to keep clean. In fact I like all the colours, red looks real nice and you don't see many.

I wont have any other colour yes there is some fade but its ben said why be like everyone else, Amazing cars deserve to stand out :)

I went to see one and all the plastic parts were a different shade. I didn't buy it cos it would annoy me and it was really noticeable. I read somewhere though if you remove the laquer the colours become the same again. Cos its a fault in the laquer not the paint. Think the thread is on this site

It bothers me that it's not perfect but I still love the car. Don't regret it at all. I can always find it when I'm in a busy car park :D

And surely you mean OVNI?

It's spanish for UFO :)

Sounds like mine...

The paint fades below the lacquer- that's why a bit of elbow grease can't correct it. :(

Never regretted it, yellow all the way!!! like the others have said the clear coat milking (not the paint fading) is a problem, just saving for the respray.
Just to clear up a misconception in alot of cases, its the clear coat milking up that make the paint look like its faded remove the clear coat and the paint is as fresh as the day it went on.(It is on mine anyway)

I love the colour, many won't but that's the joy of it!
I never thought I would buy a yellow one but I don't regret it for a second. Yes there's abit of fade but that can be said for many colours... How many pink cars do you see driving around?!

Mines flash red, but id gladly own an ovni yellow leon, its the same wiht a lot of solid bright colour cars, fiat used to have the same issue with there yellow fiat coupes,

but i think....seat were forward thinking, give it 15 years, when most lc/lcrs will be dead, the ovni LC/LCR will be the next car to rat, move over mk1/2 golf, g40/g60 :p

I love yellow, its a shame the Leon of this age have faded already, mine has faded too.

It amazing really though that you can get a 1997 e36 m3 in dakar yellow, original paint. and itll still look like it did when it came out the factory.

Wheere are the Seats painted? Spain?

Oops, you can tell I'm a newbie... ;)

Anyway, you're doing a good job, I'm very nearly convinced! Have looked at a few cars and it was by far the best condition but I was a little unsure on the colour.
