It's always marked as active when I enter the menu, but the first time I enter the setup after starting the car it changes something in the AC system (you can hear it), so I wonder if it's really active before entering the menu? The animation also begins from gray and then gradually becomes blue which it then stays as even when reentering the menu later, although I don't think that animation really indicates anything useful.

Anyone knows the answer? Thanks!

Would also love to see if anyone has any ideas on this, the same as you when you go in the menu the fans runs faster and the blower direction changes or something so to me it appears to be activating each time you go in as the graphic change then back again.

I did notice on Skoda's they have a CLimAir button you can press that does similar, but they have it on the actual control panel not all the way in the menus.

Maybe like the Sport/Eco mode selection for the engine you have to reset each time as defaults back to Normal.

From what I read AirCare cleans the air in the cabin, as the change sounds like the recirculation turning on. Only used it once for this post. Guess it helps if youve had windows open or the doors open for a long time.

The car has a sensor and filters the incoming air as needed so never fiddled with it. My hay fever always improves when in the car so guess it works :ROFLMAO:

The best type of cabin filter to buy currently is Mann FreciousPlus, VW Group do tend to only fit Mann cabin filters at the factory, but only basic filter to cars with manual AC and basic+carbon on cars with auto AC - the FrecisiosPlus version is meant to be a lot better than the basic+carbon filter.
