Right need some help here please tech heads, a few weeks ago i got my car rolling roaded, and the results were crap to say the least, here is the RR result sheet!! the car is supposed to be re-mapped but unsure at the moment.

From previous help from many people in which i am grateful i am having another prob which is really pissing me off so would love some help again before i chuck this car into the sea or something.. :cry:

The car does seem to be quicker and boost more but has the following since changing the maf, A few suggested changing my MAF in which i have done although it was a copy off of ebay from the portman group who do copies, so wondering if it may be a faulty maf, or should i just buy one from bosch??

Now the problem is this, there seems to be a huge flat spot in the car from about 2100rpm up to about 4000rpm, you accelerate slowly and it seems as though the car is struggling, it stutters abit i suppose the word is, but if you floor it it doesnt seem to do it only on partial accelarate, it does seem to be eating petrol and boost up a bit slow to, another thing i noticed is, when from cold and you start it up it seems to struggle and sounds like its running on 3 cylinders so when this happened i disconnected maf and it stopped so i presume it maybe that??

its really annoying as i thought my problems where over when i got the new engine in :confused: :confused:

Any help on this would be so grateful you wouldn't belive!!

Have you double checked all your piping for leaks, check your map sensor hasnt come loose from the top of the side mount intercooler.
 
Rob, do you want me to come over with VAG com and log it for you tomorrow eve mate, can measure the airflow on the maf and see if it is that?

Thanx cordoba will have to check them things at the weekend didn't even know smic had a sensor lol
admitedly havent checked pipes as it seems to boost ok when flooring it but will double check!

the torque is there, unless bhp is at the wheels it seems artificially low compared to the torque.
 
that rr readout was before i replaced the maf so i've got me mate matt going to do a few runs with me tom logging those bits so i will see and post results up on here

Right you all have done some logs etc and found maf is up the kyber, so replaced that and all runs smooth again... sweet...

Can people please look and see if there's anything that they notice that may be wrong please

Ive copied that off into a csv file and plotted your g/s on your first run, its very wobbly mate. If you can get out for another run from 1500 rpm to redline in 3rd or 4th gear, flat out to virtually redline, log airflow (002) and requested vs actual boost (115), your cfs seem ok so only log those two for a run, itll give you a way better idea.
 
Are those logs after the new MAF?

It looks like its been remapped but its a soft map, only requesting 15psi at full load.

CF's seem alright, nothing wrong there.

And your peaking at 153 g's a second which is about 200bhp, if yours is a k03s i reckon you should be seeing 170's plus.
 
yes phil these are before the new maf and is re-mapped but not the best map in my opinion spools up slowly compared to others and the turbo is ko3s will do another run with new maf fella

you can do mate, come up to the essex meet on the 17th of march (see southern meets section) and i can plug in and have a look, there will be a couple of others there who will be able to help you a lot better than i can mate. But as rob said, post up in the VAG COM requests section, as i know there are a lot of users down your way mate. failing that come along to the meet and will do me best to sort you out.
