door handle removal help

morning guys i've been told i can take my drivers door handle out by putting the key in lock turning it and sliding whole handle forward and pulling at an angle is this right???

you need to do undo a bolt on the inside of the handle first

You dont need to put the key in. When you open the drivers side door theres an allen key just to the left and round the corner. Take the allen key out. Grab the door handle and slide it to the left. Then you when you pull the door handle it should pivot out of the door.

But if you want to take the key barrel out of the door handle once its out, you need to put the key into the lock so that the pins in the lock stay in place.
