Had the car dyno'd today and was dismayed by the power output.

149bhp 152lb/ft

The tester said the MAF was at fault and hes seen it before and I should get a new one asap. As soon as he got in the car and started the run he said something wasnt right.... Heres the thing, the car feels fine to me and its still pretty darn quick!

Is the MAF a common problem and would my low power be the result of this??

Help!!

oh nowt worng with the Rollers, a TDi FR got 165bhp 246lb/ft and a Revo'd Cupra 210bhp.

Could I clean the MAF rather than buy one..??

Unplugging the MAF might not get your power back, but it will ensure it drives smoothly.

If you look in the Info Base section of the main website you'll be able to find Pab's (LeonCupra.co.uk) guide to cleaning the MAF. This might be worth a try before buying a new one, but chances are you'll need to anyway.

There isnt anything else I should check is there?

Unplugged the MAF and went for a drive and although its didnt seem hugely faster the flat spot is definatley gone.
