Finally saved up enough for the Milltek downpipe, fitted it this morning, what a pita! Jkm are advertising free fitting (ie no 10 % discount) well worth it imho! Turbo bolts, particularly the top one under the manifold are an absolute pig, the nuts are "stiff nuts" and only a stubby 17mm spanner can get on the top one, which is too short for the leverage needed! Got there in the end tho, then took it to TSR in Bridgwater to have Revo settings tweaked (now B8, T6, F7) and dyno'd. Printed result was 364 engine bhp after 4 runs, the first run was 7 bhp more at the wheels but Rob had trouble getting a good reading for the drag, so by the time we had that sorted the engine was getting a bit warm and lost a few hp. Well pleased with the result, must get dogbone mount sorted now, it's quite alarming watching the engine rock back and forth under torque!! A new insert comes with the downpipe but it didn't seem to want to go in very easily so left off for the time being, anyone fitted one?

Sound: Still not much louder than stock with "normal" driving, bit boomy on m/way cos of the non-res, lets rip nicely on boost! Nice balance imho!
Torque: hmmm, tricky, on last run was 325 ft/lb, engine was getting hot and lost a few. On first run was 390 ft/lb, not sure if that was right, only way would be to take it again with a cooler engine bay, maybe next Saturday at TSR if there's space on the seatcupra.net (SW) r/r day
Re mods Pov, I think my sig covers it!
Shame the dyno runs go like that, it happened last time, something to do with big bhp fwd cars on that dyno, you have to try different ways to strap it down so when you come off the gas and do the drag calculation on the overrun it doesn't "kick" and cause a false engine bhp correction..... First time was 307 bhp at the wheels (dead accurate) but with 500 corrected engine bhp!!!

Turbo was glowing bright red on last run, didn't look on the others but probably the same, just goes to show what an amazing bit of kit they are! Sorry RobH, no offence.....

No offence taken, mines all sorted now and think thats it for engine mods, my next mod will also be the subframe mount and then other chassis stuff.

Will be going with the vwracing track engine mount, herd it today courtesy of Mat ed30 from Mk5gti and OMG its well loud, sound like a proper loud mean growl inside the cabin, will be ordering one on Monday mornng, but it sure aint for the faint hearted thats for sure and thats just the lower one, I can only imagine that the full set would sound evil.

Very nice results, your propably not having clutch slip? If you are going to change the dogbone mount, can you do a quick how-to + pictures also from that? :) Your posts are very informative

Dead right! No clutch slip, tho I have had it twice in the 8 mths I've had the car, strangely if I give the clutch a bit of (light) deliberate abuse,, on the basis that if it's slipping I've nowt to lose, it goes away. Reckon it glazes a bit cos I barely use the clutch, just to get it into gear and change gear cos if I give the car any beans when pulling away it just lights up in the first 2 gears so I take it easy on take-off.... Cars just awesome now, just the right balance of power and traction, I can play with the wave of torque or not, just choose! Hopefully I won't get the "Reckon this car's getting slow" feeling like I had with the stage one...................
Re: dogbone, it's a powerflex insert that comes with the DP, fills in the gaps in the standard one so there's less movement, I'll try and get it in soon and let you know, maybe a full new race inser is the way to go like Rob suggests, we'll see.....

Yeah, tricky one that. Cars done 27k, bit late to worry about catch can as I only do 3 or 4k a year. Spoke to one of my customers (Audi specialist) he says the valves do coke up a lot due to the pcv system, I just feel short of taking the head off and cleaning it all up for me a catch can is like shuuting the stable door after the horse has bolted! Handles great on the sportlines, can't do spacers as the wheels are 8" and just rub a little on hard cornering

These are the inserts on my K1. Think you should have something fitted there as there is quite a bit of flex generated.

Well, after driving for a day, i can report that the power is brutal! By that I mean less refined than before... After fitting the intercooler I had the best balance of civility and power, then the ITG came along and changed all that and now with the full TBE, well........... No going back tho, love it!!!! It's only a toy, I drive a 7 1/2 tonner all day, I deserve a little bit of fun!
