Y ?

OEM pipe acts as the Milltek equivelant, and the ECU has been reflashed setting the pressure defferencial setpoints to values that are realistically not acheivable !!
Well done, I first saw this on the French Seat2 web site about 3 months ago. - Nice to see that there are still some "hands on" chaps around!!

:) Well, the way i see it, i'd rather spend the money on some StickyMickyTyres or some StoppingPower than that.

If ya's need any :help: with anything like that, give me a shout, that goes for all the DPF sufferers here ;)

Well done Tom, as someone else said, I have also seen this on a european website where they had a few DPF's off and did them side by side! Great thread!

Hey, have you managed to get around the problem of the ECU sending error flashing lights to the dash? Apparently Custom Code claim that they are the only people to have come up with the "DPF Delete". I think the set up they have is probably very good but the price stings!!
I'm not too fussed about getting a lot more power but the MPG's are much more attractive!

Nice job, its always worth getting your hands dirty!
I think when the weather improves I may give it a crack myself as I have done the same sort of thing to a prevous car.
I take it you have to have the car remapped afterwords to clear any fault codes and set it up properly.
(sorry new to seats more use to scoobys and fords)

hi i know this is an old thread but im planning on doing the same on my fr tdi 2.0 pd170
and cut the dpf out myself
as i have the dpf warning light on and it has gone into limp mode
id just like to know can i drive the car after the filter material is remove just to a garage to get the pressure sensors mapped out plus any fault codes/warning lights
does anyone on here no siomewere local (IM IN REDCAR)
and how much does this cost
thanks
mick

We can do a remap and DPF software or even the labour not far from you, you can drive it with it remove. May smoke abit as will try to regen most likely but sometime you can get away with it, it's the other way around you can't do run it mapped out with it in place as could cause a fire
