Hi I’m rebuilding the front end of a 2018 Seat Leon Cupra and I’ve got to the point of connecting the Drivers Assist Radar Module but the issue I have is the the 8 pin connector has been ripped off and not with the car. I have a replacement 8 pin connector and a wire with seven different coloured wires. Where can I find a wiring diagram for what colour wire goes to which numbered pin.

Pin 1: Brown (Earth)
Pin 2: Orange/Gray (CAN high - goes to engine cmpt. wiring harness, then pin 12 of the 17-pin white connector on left A-pillar, then main wiring harness)
Pin 3: Orange/Brown (CAN low - goes to engine cmpt. wiring harness, then pin 13 of the 17-pin white connector on left A-pillar, then main wiring harness)
Pin 5: Orange/White (CAN high - goes to pin 9 of the 17-pin brown connector on left A-pillar, then pin 2 of the 12-pin connector of the driver assist camera
Pin 6: Orange/Brown (CAN low - goes to pin 11 of the 17-pin brown connector on left A-pillar, then pin 1 of the 12-pin connector of the driver assist camera
Pin 8: Black/Green (10A fuse at SC32)

It should be noted that the wiring diagram shows two orange/brown wires, maybe because they are both shown as CAN low but I find that curious anyway.

I recommend you to compare actual wire colors in your car, because sometimes they might be different than what the diagram shows.

Canbus consists of twisted pairs

Every pair has an orange/brown for can low
Can high changes depending on the bus

For example

Comfort/convenience
orange/brown
orange/green

Extended can
orange/brown
orange/grey

Infotainment
orange/brown
orange/violet

Private can between radar & camera
Orange/brown
orange/white

Thank you very much for the explanation. 🙏🏻☺️

Having two orange/brown wires without a connector at the radar side won't make the original poster's job easier though. He would have to track them down to see where they lead, or maybe better, make a measurement using the camera side orange/brown one.
