I know this has been covered before but still havent found a cure. I am reakoning it is the Door mirror that is causing it. IS there a gasket you can get for them like u can for the altea's?

or is it the door seal? i know this is a common problem and just wondering if any one has fixed this?

I thought it was the door mirrors, but noticed when letting my sister have a drive few days ago, that I could hear the noise from the drivers side of the car when in the passenger seat.

Any ideas?

If you remove the door card there is a strip that runs along the top of the door that pushes against the glass.

If this strip slides forwards towards the wing mirror it leaves a small gap at the back where it joins the vertical seal. This whistles like a biatch, but as with most things if you work for Seat you can't hear it!

I just slid it rearwards so that it joins the vertical seal properly and the wind noise disappeared.

Hope that may be of some use!

This only cures a wind noise from down in the rear of the drivers door. If its not coming from there it probably wont solve your problem! :)

The car is only 3 months old so I'm not particularly pleased that it's doing it!!!

If its 3 months old you must have loads of rattles that need fixing by now surely :D

there should be some foam behind the mirror behind the tweeter cover this can cause whisling wind noises normaly also make sure the rubber all round the mirror is sitting correctly if you slam the door on a A4 piece of paper and pull it out it should feel snug all along the top of the door if not then the door needs adjusting this could be your problem too,

also wing foam most cars have this foam behind the wheelsheildthis stops wind noise could check there too
