Hello

I had just ordered a new speaker cage for the drivers side tweater.

Does anyone know how easy it would be to fit this?

you remove the door card then the tweeter cover can be easily removed. the tweeters are permanantly attached on melted lugs so you would need to get tweeter off then fit it to the new cover

Guessing you mean the triangle bit. It just pops back in with 2 white and 1 black clip. If it doesn't come with them just use the original ones unless these have broke.

1. Follow http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=48546 to remove door card.
2. Then remove triangle bit by levering it out with a flat head driver.
3. If you have to refit the tweater then it will be an arse of a job, because where the tweater clips in they have glued over the top of the clips. Ended up using a soldering iron to melt the glue and clips.
4. Pop out the existing tweater and refit into new cage. Then i'd glue the tweater back in place because you've melted the clips on the tweater so the cage clips have nothing to clip to. Therefore apply some more glue to stick it in place.

I was upgrading the tweater on mine and had to modify the hole which the tweater fits into.
At weekend I'll be modifying the passanger side. I'll take photo's and do a mini guide for you if you want. Not difficult really just putting the tweater back in is a pain.

Ok, that would be great. The reason I ask is that I have ordered the part from the stealers. However they said that it would cost £74 + VAT to have it fitted. No way am I paying that for something that costs about £5!
