This has been going on for a while now and I'm going to try explain best I can.

Ok what happens is at high revs on bumpy roads, when I am over 4k rpm the engine noise is slightly louder than it should it and sounds a little 'rough' but the engine is fine, there is also when going over these bumps vibration which i can only describe as being a high speed vibration of two solid parts that are only slightly loose. It only happens just as you go over the bump.

The noise sounds like its coming from the drivers side footwell area.

any suggestions, it has had cambelt and the drivers side cv joint changed in the past couple of months if that might make a difference.

i get te same problem, it feels like the drop linkages in the steering are loose.
There's quite a bit of play in the steering to, but i don't have another leon to compare it to.
I've read about changing the dog bone engine mount, which i'm goona give a go it's only £15.
The thing is when i bought the car i noticed the steering column was loose, i could actually move the steering wheel, took it back to the garage and they fixed it after quite a bit of arguing.
Never buy a car from all electric garages!!

I'm having the same problem as the original post, execpt I could hear the vibration (slightly) when sat still and reving upto 4.5 rpm. Also just had the timing belt changed.

Have taken it back to the garage and had them look over it. the first thing we did was to apply pressure to the the engine block buy means of a crowbar between the drivers side engine mount and the engine block, and then rev'ed the motor. Which did cure the vibration. We then re-tightened all the bolts relating to the mount, took it out for a test and all was cured.

That was roughly 2 months ago and the vibration is back, it's noware near as bad as before and can't be heard whilst sat still. Again had the garge go over the the mounts and everything seems good, but still got the vibration, Only under load thou and seems to be worst on a bumpy road.

I have just replaced both drivestaft's with no improvement ( CV's were on there way anyway )

And also will be replacing the steering rack shortly as it's weaping at the passenger side.

Any suggestions Plz

P.s when the timing belt was replaced the water pump impellar had shattered and so was replaced with a metal impellared pump from GSF and also none of the pulleys or tensioner was replaced.

Could it be the tensoiner or maybe bearing's on a pulley ? or should I replaced the engine mounts. could it be part of the exhaust system ?

Also noticed a very slight wobble on the main crank pulley but mechanic said this was normal. Is he bullshiting me ????

Sorry for all the questions.

Cheers
