Liking the wheels... Suit the car well.

Spacers at the rear look a bit too big for me though.

Iv just orderd my new adaptors, no real problem with the current ones tbh. Theyv settled down fine now the new ones just look so so much cooler so theyv been ordered fro states.

Ajustable drop links are what im looking at now, is there a decent make or are they all pretty much same. Dont seem to be a massive diffrence in prices TBH

Yeah i couldnt help myself, they look so dam sexy!!!

Cant wait for them. couple of weeks

hahaha, yep amazing looking adapters, lifetime warranty and already stupidly strong = WIN!

why I suggested them to you mate, what size did you go for, atleast there won't be no spigots involved now, helps keep your mind at ease, and peace of mind they are so strong/no threaded adapter holes (having studs)

I went for the same as i had before 15mm and 20mm cause im happy with the stance that setup gives. Really cant wait to get them on waiting for them till i fit my coilovers

Are you sure you get these for our set up?
What would you need these for?

Well i know that every car iv had low has required somthing along these lines as running low puts the driveshafts at a odd angle making them hit off sumthing ARB for example.

Unless can find a decent ARB that goes around the drive shaft

Derek, take a good look at what you have.
This set up will differ from the other set ups you have had.
This is the same as the front end of the S3/TT/Octy which differs from the OEM Golf GTI.

Why not set up the car height so this isn't an issue? A car can be low and look good without compromising things like driveshafts rubbing on ARB's and/or handling. Failing that, why not just remove the front Anti Roll Bar

BTW, as far as I know, the ARB is above the driveshaft on the MK1 Leon, same as the MK2 Leon, so this should not be a problem ;)

Derek, I have no ARB (atm, will get a whiteline etc next month), have a Chassis Notch, and have done 4months now.

Do 100miles a day, and is fine, and it's not exactly like i'm quite high on my coilies lol.

Everyone has said "it will handle like crap, you will crash, blah blah" but I have been like this for ages now, doing stupid mileage, and its fine :D

PMSL . Would it pass an MOT like that out of interest?

yes it would, seeing as not all models came with ARBs, and I have removed all the associated parts for the ARB (and will have the right ARB put on at payday)

And my notch has been reinforced, so as good as it would of been without it

and I wasn't having a dig at no one, just alot of people say so much crap saying loads of things can happen, when most times nothing comes from it

I won't carry this convo on, as it happened before in Derek's thread, and not the right place to chat about it :)

Come on lads, keep on topic and don't mess up Derek's thread. We all have different tastes/opinions at the end of the day. If you don't like what you see then fair play, say it, but don't fill someones thread up with rubbish.

Im with suj on this one :)

Keep up the good work Derek! Look forward to seeing pics at Early Edition soon.

Think i will be picking up a ARB soon, everyone goes on about them and i like the look of the rear ones. Again if i was fussed about handling....wouldnt have got a leon bit of a boat tbh. I know about all the it will handle crap..rumours...yawn, when i go home got some of the best roads to blast around and i still manage to make pace even when i have a slammed motor. Makes it more fun dont it.

I might look into notching if i go lower or find im having problems its always a option. Dout id remove the ARB, i know you can pass mots without them suj is right, iv removed all the ABS on my mates CRX and it passed cause all evidence of it ever having ABS was gone.

Suj any decent dub meets round here, when i get coilies on will be planning on whoring a bit.

My mate does custom work, did my notch mate, so if you do need one, you know where I am (like you said, try without, then when needed get it done)

Yeah loads dude, Cov meet (every wednesday, I go to most) and AllDubs Sutton Coldfield Meet, both are good, I have been going Cov meet for like 3 years now (since I was at uni there)
Have a look in the local meets threads (details in my sig)

Its a great meet, and a lot of amazing motors/people, and in summer, expect 40-50cars most weeks :)

I'm sorry my input is not appreciated, I'll leave you to it. Don't expect me as a parent to appreciate making your car, in my eyes, illegal and less road worthy than when it came out of the factory.
We've all been young and stupid. Seeing people going through this blindly adjusting their cars components without a clue about the basics scares me.
I would suggest you seek a decent mechanical mind when completing this project not just Performance VW:givein:

Yawnnn, if you actually knew anything about what was going on with the car instead of chucking comments about you would know that iv only actually been using the best in business and people who know what theyr talking about. Who deal with these kinda builds all the time not sit on the side lines going oh kids today they know nothing an if they dont do what i say or want its wrong. Its getting boring now
