60mm is quite extreme, I wouldn't expect the shocks to last long at all.

about 10mins  if your going to go any lower than about 30mm go for coilovers, iv got AP coilovers and i love them, give a very good drop (70-80mm with adjuster cups out) and the ride is better than standard set up, all for £380ish

theres also springs and shock kits too

I beleive the question was if shorter drop links would be needed not how long the shocks would last. But people do like to do that sort of thing.

As far as I know shorter drop links are recommended for drops over 50mm though not always nessacary depending on model. My personal thing would be suck it and see.

For the record though I am running -45mm springs and after 10k my original 42k shocks have just flown through an MOT and are doing fine!

I would get a set of shorted drop links.

I am using Ford Puma 1s and they are working fine.
