DTUK tuning box

That would depend if you are using crdt or CRD3+. On CRD3+, map 1 is the efficiency map. As far as I know, at least the diesel one.

Yes it is, evidenced by the fact that there is a small, but discernible, reduction in fuel economy from 1 to 2 to 3.
 
On CRD3+ map 1 brings the power on much earlier on , map 2 is a lot more progressive power and map 3 seems to be somewhere inbetween the two. I dont think map 1 is economy though, it puts a lot of fuel in early on so doubt how that could be an economy map.
 
After almost 2 tanks on 1+2, im back at 2+2. I liked map 1, but at times it felt too aggressive. There are those situations when the kick in the back just wasnt comfortable, for instance in the city area, there i find map 2 more refined and pleasant to drive.

By the way, does anyone here knows the 150 diesel dyno figures with crd3+ on different settings? Just roughly, i know every car is a bit different.

You'll likely only get that from DTUK, and I'd doubt they'd have the dyno figures for all the settings.

Edit: I guess they might have 1, 2 and 3 with no + or - however if you want these figures you're probably better off taking your car to a dyno yourself.

So I have been driving with the CRD3+ for quite a while now and have settled with Map 2+2 - it seems to be the sweet spot for my driving style. No weird things, no judder, no anomalies at all - it is simply just enjoyable in all aspects.

I have been running with map 2+2 straight for around 4.500 km now, so enough to start making some comments about economy (my car and driving style). So far it seems to have settled around 20.7km/l - roughly the same as a good 58mpg - so even though I have more power it doesn't seem to have affected that part. That car is rated to be 22.2 km/l - so only a deviation of ~7% and in my world that is just fine.

Please note that I rarely use it for city driving - using wifes Seat Mii when going down town.

I can't say much on how the economy was prior to installing the CRD3+, as I have pretty much used it from the beginning - but when comparing to the figures in spritmonitor.de - a 4.8l/100km is in the lower end and definitely approved.

If you ask me to run without the dtuk box for a while to compare economy - well that is not going to happen - don't want to drive without it :)
 
Morning all and hi havsgaard just like to add to your thread I have run my CRD3 on map 2+2 with great results very similar no judder no weird things just great all round performance for 2 months as I get restless sometimes I changed it to 2+3 again runs not much difference from 2+2 just feels a bit more of +2 may put it back to 2+2 I am the same would not want to run the car standard again

If anyone's interested I'm selling mine, had to get rid of the car so the box has to go too. Anyone interested let me know. CRD3+ less than 3 months old. (184 2014)

Did anyone on here upgrade their CRDT+ box to the CRD3+?? I just want to know how much you paid for the loom? As I'm working near their office next Wednesday so might pop in and get the new software flashed over and purchase the new loom.

When we first introduced the crd3 we secured a batch of looms at a reduced rate from Germany, these looms we're snapped up and the cost is now the usual £75 plus vat for a 3 channel loom. They actually cost us around £67 plus vat to bring into the UK
