was powered on all the time (i think) will try again tomorrow looks like i have an excuse to go foran hours drive with NEW POwER

i have to press the scan button on mine to enter the code and it says PTY in the manual

my sound system was in SAFE mode but drove around for an hour and tapped in the code and all is working now

thanks for that,i had been pressing the damn pty button and wandering why nothing was happening

quick press of the scan and all was well.i must also have the updated manual with the old type alana
