Dump Valve or Diverter Valve

Hi All,

I have recently bought a 2004(54) Lean Cupra R 225. I have just picked my Forge 007p diverter up from the post office and when coming to fit the valve, the current one on the car isnt a Black Plastic one so i assume its an after market one(non-standard).

How do i know if this is a diverter valve or dump valve? How do i know if it dumps the preasure into the atmosphere or back into the air circulation?

I have some pics of the one i have taken off but i am unsure how to put the pics on here.

Please help ;-)

atmospheric will have small pipe on top and large from charge pipe but diverter will also go back to TIP
Maybe some sort of 50/50 valve though

The one i took off has 3 openings the same as the Forge Diverter valve? The one i taken off is bigger in physical size aswell if that helps?

Maybe an older design, i think a 006 was a chunkier valve
Cant tell without a pic though

By the way what does TIP stand for?

The one from airbox to turbo with other things feeding into it too
