guys, i know uve probably heard this all before but i havent saw the answer im looking for. I hav purchased a cheap dump valve off ebay simply because my mate with an a3 turbo has one and it sounds ok not oo woooshy and not too quiet its just right, but any way it is a blow off valve, now, i know that these arent good for the vag engine but is that only becuse u have to block the pipe that goes back to the airbox? because i was thinkin if i was to fit it like a standard dump valve ie, boost pipe in then pipe that goes to airbox fit that over the trumpet of the blow off valve would that cause problems? as in theory it would be the same as standard dump valve or is it the holes in the side of the dump valve that cause problems? cheers and sorry for bringin a common subject up

Mate, get yourself a Forge 007PA or Split R. They're tried an tested on here.

They may be more money now, but they're cheaper than replacing your turbo.

How cheap?

To be honest, I wouldn't scrimp on something that controls your boost levels.... a 007P can probably be picked up for around £60....

In answer to your question, its hard to give a response without telling us which type you have...

its a normal blow off valve, not branded, mite be atmospheric basically has the input pipe then a trumpet on the side, pipe in the top to go to boost gauge and holes in the side all around, pretty much same as any other blow off valve, wot u reckon bout putting the pipe mover the trumpet as it will recirculate air to airbox?

I recently put the 007 on mine, and the difference was unreal. I didnt think a DV would make that much difference to be honest. If you want a whoosh noise, go for the Split R because the 007 is almost silent, which is personally how I like it.

i have a bailey dv30 with a custom CAI from ebay n that pritty much is atospheric loud

people have said that is so loud you can here me from round the corner easy

the forge 007 are betta becuase the bailey have a quad ring that gos round the piston inside the valve and after a while/ a year was the worst i herd that wheres out n then leaks, but i have had no probs with mine yet,
im runnig 19psi boost
