i was just wondering what dump valves are best fitted to these cars? i currently have a turbo dynamics one but its not very loud and fancy changing it. any suggestions. thanks

I don't think changing to a forge will make it any louder. Have you still got the standard airbox fitted?
I don't know what a Turbo Dynamics DV is, it is fully recirc? If so then to make it louder, you need a open cone air filter. If that's not loud enough, you need a remap to increase the boost pressure. If that's not your thing then you need a 50/50 valve like the Turbosmart Kompact Dual Port, louder still? Then you'll want near £300 to spend on an atmospheric HKS SSQV which I believe is one of the only atmos BOVs that the 1.8t gets on with.

They do them in 25mm
They're supposed to have a special design so they don't trigure fault codes/limp mode and from the couple of people I know of who are/have used one, it's true.
I would'nt have believed it without the link, what's the world coming to?
