I think this whole thread is bogus, guy clearly has no idea and is making many, MANY sarcastic remarks about how the turbo can't possibly be damaged by any of this....I think he's wasting all of your times in bothering to answer him and fair play, he's managed to get 19 (now 20) replies out of it

I've seen pencils with better trolls on them but yeah would seem like it!

How does one remove a wastegate exactly? turbo off and remove the penny washer? that'd give you no boost at all. Remove the actuator perhaps which is so often wrongly called a wastegate, and you've got nothing to hold the wastegate shut....

Weld up the penny washer and you've got unregulated unlimited boost and an almost certain explosion to follow shortly.

Why these people think these things are clever I do not know.

I hope you blow your car up, but please, stop wasting our time.
