ECU`s are not common to go
If you replace with an after market one you could get more issues than you think
I would double check first
The only one I heard of was a problem with the dash pod
Replacing the ECU will not get rid of a problem like that
If you disconnect the MAF you will not have any air flow readings , so how will fueling be adjusted
Sarah
Have you checked the ECU fuse?
This can cause the issues you are having.
Has the ECU been tampered with in anyway?
Mmmm
I will believe you , I have not seen any on a modern car that should have one from standard
Never mind if it runs better
My main concern though is that someone else is going to be told their ECU is knack`d and replace it still to have the problem there
I would not go for a stand alone one until you know for sure it is duff
I must admit though p-torque when you do another one if it is on a modern car I would like to know
Be good to see as then I can advise people from then on
Sarah
there is both permanant 12v and switched 12v at the ecu. it has had a superchip fitted but this was done over 2 years ago
