electrics at rear

of Mk2 Cupra.. located near to towing 'eye/hook/bar what have you'... is this standard or has it been fitted after-market?? it looks like the same type of connector that you would have on a 110V transformer.. ( little cap on a spring over the 'pins'.. )

can anyone shed any light as to what it may be for? doesnt seem to have been a towbar fitted at any time so cant see it having been a trailer/lights type thing ......

towbar electrical connector would have been my 1st guess.... but you've ruled that out......

will stick my head under the back of my 8v in the morning and take a look, see if it's on mine to.. doubt it though.

need any bits from the Ibiza's in the scrappy in Derby ?!? will be popping along in the morning
