you would have to get the laquer off the rims and then polish, can be done but would take a while and you would have to mask up the wheel, esp if using paint stripper to lift the laquer

Some plans for my car, bought a dent remover kit from halfrauds. gonna try get the little dents out the door lol have no idea if it will work.

A good polish and maybe touch up for my wheels as they are pitted, anyone have any ideas on how a i would laquer a polished metal surface?

Also a good wax and valet all over :>

Hoping to do all this in the next few weeks.

well for polished lips you need to put wax on, you can get clear lacquer, but its prone to getting cracks/water inside, so looks crap

best thing is to apply something like poorboys wheel sealant http://www.poorboysworld.com/wheel-sealant.htm

its good stuff, a mate with polished RS's swears by it

Will have a look into that :> this dent removal quid is like a stick which you melt and stick to the panel then pull it out gonna try it tomorow

Quick little update before i go to bed, gonna be taking some pics tomorow of the beeza all cleaned up.
Got the dent out with the cheapy halfrauds removal kit
Need to get the Engine bay all cleaned up again and polish the rocker and thats about it

i reckon you should paint the wheels red with the polished lips, it'd look sweet! Looks like a really nice car you should be happy with it!

Yeah its alright, not perfect but removes most of a small dent

matt, any chance you could take a couple of pics of the gear linkage (gearbox end) and pm them to me please?? im putting a 1.6 in mine and im having trouble with the gear linkage on the box that was on engine when i put it in!

as for what to do next, you thought of bonnet lifters?

I can do mate, gonna be doing my gearbox oil over the next few days, so will take some then? Do you need them urgently?

would be wicked for such a small engine, to put all the battery and washer bottle etc in the boot or in the scuttle...
probably a lot mor work than you wanted but itd be v.different, and would look pretty swish i think
