Iv been wanting to clean my engine bay up, my saxo engine bay was immaculate and i want the same for my ibiza.

Its mainly down the side of the inside panels and hose ect...........I can see alot of dirt hanging around.

To make a good difference i will need to paint the rocker cover ( abit worried taking it off tho)

Get silicone hosing (blue)

any other clean suggestion, products ect will be great

thanks

Rocker cover is dead easy.

Unlike the saxo it has a proper rubber gasket, ive had mine off three times now on the original gasket and no leaks etc

Just take coil packs out, remove the charge pipe, undo all nuts and it will come off

wazzup claire i was on saxperience used to talk to you and drew whats the new motor look like then any plans?

Hey Claire - I too really want to take my Rocker cover off and spray it up and have the same concerns,

I had a Honda CRX and when i took the rocker off - the threads for the bolts stripped on one corner - Leaking problem after re-fitting obviously - Im sure the Germans did a better job on these lumps though :)

Were you at TRAX - i was there in my recently acquired Cupra (We were nicely located byt he toilet block!)

Anyway - look forward to peoples suggestions here.

thank you i put a lot of time into it to get it to look like that for the show and the eybrows are for sale if you fancy them ? as got a carbon bonnet and dont think they would look rite imo

Sounds easy to me, do the nuts need torqing down to a set amount?
