Engine cutting out

Hi All,

I need your expertise, I have a 2007 Leon FR PD170 BMN, recent issues have been DPF light on, limp mode & engine sort of dying then coming back.

After having the DPF cleaned, DPF light & limp mode have gone, but the engine dying has stayed.
Changed crank sensor at weekend ( not the easiest job ) as I had a G28 code, drove it last night same thing happens.

It seams to happen when the car has been driven for 30 mins & cuts at 2500 revs regardless of what gear its in, it dies & rev counter needle jumps about.

Any advice much appreciated.

Have you checked if your car has had the injector recall done?

After reading the threads on BMN injector issues, I called Seat dealer to check, apparently the car hasn't needed any recall's & hasn't had any done.

Also cooling fan running constantly even from cold, may not be linked.

Usually cooling fan running constantly means the car is in like a failsafe mode as something is wrong. Have you scanned the codes of the car with a VAG reader such as VCDS?

A friend from Work connected it to vagcom & read the G28 code , since then just a hand held reader I borrowed, don’t know any one with it near were I live.

Update forget the happening after 30 mins it’s doing it from start up.
