Hi, I am very satisfied Exeo owner but this strange fan still running after i turned off the ignition, this occurred three times in 2 weeks first time 1 covered 200 miles and trip to 20 miles and third time just 5 miles ... any help anyone or any idea why this thing happens and is it safe ?

its part of the dpf regen cycle and is perfectly normal behaviour. It can run for anything up to 20 minutes after the ignition is turned off.

Have u tried giving it a good run down the motorway? It takes approx 15 to 20 mins can't remember exact speed /engine speed but I think it's 3rd or 4th gear approx 2500 rpm. If that fails then it is possible to do a static regen with vagcom

ya i driven it on motorway for more than 1 hr, with 2500 rpm but that light kept on

Hi guys i went to my local VAG mechanic and he checked the fault and told me that DPF is gone and need replacement which is very expensive, he recommend me to remove the DPF and remap the car, my question is it safe and reliable to do it ? what you guys think about it
