Engine Flushing

Just wondering what peoples views are on engine flushing.

Iv flushed the engine (with wynns stuff) every time Iv done an oil change since I had my first car.

Usually drop my oil every 6-7k that's including an engine flush and new filter.

Iv heard of people having bad experiences in the past of people using it then oil leaks being caused due to cleaning out sludge which has helped dodgy seals.

Anyone had any good / bad experiences with it?

My question is if using engine flush does it have the lubrication properties of the oil which your engines meant to be run on? I've never seen one rated to vw's 505 standards. Turbo's have very delicate bearings and it doesnt take long to destroy them by using inferior oil. Regular oil changes draining oil when the engine is hot will get the crud out of your engine well enough.

That was one of my main concerns, the back of the can states its safe to use with turbos, and feels quite slippy if you get it on your fingers. I think its to help clear up blocked oil channels/jets.

You shouldn't have blocked channels and jets to start with really. If your cars been regularly serviced with decent oil then it's unlikely.

i wouldnt be using engine flush all the time, its good for a car that hasnt been serviced for a while,

i wouldnt be using it on my ibiza i would just change the oil regular, every 5k and ul be fine,

i used to buy a 500quid deisel car to run back and for work and when i did the first oil change id flush the engine, as normally service history is vague with a car like that, and once out of say 4 cars i did have a oil leak with one after,
