Well to be honest it was a right pain in the arse.
First took to a Seat Main dealer, who though the problem was a CV joint. They replaced the inner CV joint and said the issue was fixed. Thought that was great, anyway the noise didn;t go. I complained that they never even fixed the issue, and they came back saying the knocking is a new problem... Which is wasn't!
My reason for taking it to a main dealer was that I was annoyed that nobody could diagnose the issue.
Anyway, then took it to a local VAG specialist which I often use (£200 lighter thanks to SEAT) They though the issue was an outer CV joint, replaced that with no luck... Then they thought it could be a wheel bearing, replaced that and all was fine.
All in all cost me a bloody fortune, but just glad the noise went away! and my CV joints will last forever now...
