Engine light missin

im just curious. when you start the ignition isnt the engine light support to show but disappear when you start the engine?
Mines dosnt show, any suggestion guys?

It shows on my TDi then goes out once the engine starts (well it used to but I've got an error coming up now!). Maybe just a bulb gone. It should come on as part of the self test when you switch the ignition on.

sorry to bring up an old thread but there aren't any bulbs in the clocks. They're all LEDs. I checked mine as my 110 tdi engine light doesn't come on with the ignition.
