After fitting a front mount and removing SaI, n112 and n249. Fitted resistors into the plug and no lights came on but after a day the engine management light has come on and now the traction control light. Anyideas thanks
Ok I'm going to try and get it plugged in tomorrow but would anything that I've done caused it to pack up? I've connected the dumpvalve vacuum to the inlet and same with the fpr. The other pipe from the n75 I've connected to the intercooler pipe as it comes out the turbo. Is this right? Thanks
had this problem, plug in a vag check to get the fault code first but i would go with maf, however seems strange to go at the same time you done the other mods
You can take a MAF off and refit it on these and there be knackered.
Very fragile. Things like having the air filter to close or at the wrong angle can disturb the airflow over the sensor causing it to read wrong and throw your traction control light or EML on.
Usually having the filter clamp directly to MAF is ano go. 100mm extender will help.
Think that's what it might be chambers as I've got an airfilter directly on the maff and probably knocked it while removing everything. I've got an elbow piece to go on and I'll make a heatshield which should also help to support it. Thanks for the advice I'll see what codes it brings up and update the thread.
surely if the maf is knackered it would cause the car to drive **** but it stills drives fine. ive got a silicone elbow to go on and extend the air filter out away from the maf. someone at work is pluging in vagcom tomorrow so should hopefully find out then what the issue.
juts to check does anyone know the correct resistors to use for the bypasses?
thanks
went up badger 5 and bought the plug in resistors for the n249 and n112. replaced a fuse that had blown, probably due to wrong resistors and the traction control light has gone out. also removed the plug part of the back of the sai pump and soldered on the resistor for the sai onto it.
vagcom session tomorrow to see what codes are left.
