Engine managment light keeps coming on. Ideas???

Can you help??? I've just bought a second hand mk1 leon Fr after wanting one since they come out. Recently the engine management light came on so I took it to the garage to have it checked. They found number 3 glowplug was out when they ran a diagnostics so had it changed along with the other 3 just to be sure, They reset the fault code and all was fine.
Today the the managment light came back on, could it be anything to do with the glow plug again or could it be something else to do with it like the harnesses? Has any one else had this problem.

Best bet is to get it on vag com an it will give you everything you need to know where u based ?

I'm based in kent. I did have it on vag com and the first time it said glow plug 3, could this be a cause of an under lying problem?

How much is vag com to get myself?

U can get a free version not sure how much u can do with it tho, an not sure if it's same prob but Vag com will tell an hi rob not seen u around for a bit my car has the hump on need a new coilpack again an yea I have full version mate

Turbo blow up not so long ago so had a new one fitted aswell as more goodies of course, fancy logging mine just to see if all is well .

Yea not a problem mate is it the same blocks as mine if not ill have a look to see, As soon as i get my coilpack ill give u a shout an can meet up the tops if you like. An sry to hear about your turbo did u get an uprated one or standered one ?

Just went for the standard turbo, could have gone BT but didnt exactly plan on a turbo blowout and to get anymore power would have needed internals doing and personally 360 big ones is enough..... for now anyways .

did you only change glow plug No3 or all of them?
if vag said 3 bet it was 1 that was gone.

change all 4 & the harness at same time and you'll be fine.

if you do get vag-com on it, put up the full error, more helpful than parts of it.
also, have a gander in the diesel section as lots of topics on this.
