That can't be a JBS manifold?? They said there's were made from 316 stainless which shouldn't corrode like that!!!

In high temp applications the material changes properties.... so its discolouration is not unusual.. You can see the appeal of ceramic type coatings.

Got any pics of this or the k04 version mike?

No pictures at the moment of the K04 - as soon as there is I will put up a post in our section :)

That is just discolouration with the high temps from the exhaust gasses :)

Here was mine after 7500 miles (on K03S pushed to the limit)

You do not know how many times we have seen that happen to the cast manifolds! :ban:

That's just a hairline crack;) It'll be fine:D

Not at all, this will cause the gasket to start blow which in turn a lack of power :(

Mike

I see, didn't notice the crack came right up to the flange face:hide:

All the cracks on my turbo are all inside well away from the sealing faces.

my evo turbo exhaust housing had lots of hairline cracks that were not on the sealing face and it lost 40bhp at the top end!!! changed to a later spec one with a better material(inconel content) and the power returned so it's not always the case.

My Tuner got them made,i will ask him next time i see him. Hopefully will be running a gt3076r on it and it's proven 500bhp.

That looks better than bills! Lol :D (I know it’s a totally different application) I don’t know much about manifolds but where the pipes meet it looks a lot more progressive! On bills it looks like there fighting for the same bit of space! Is bill going to shout at me now? :(

Yes he probably will shout at you!! I think you can buy a collector (where they all meet) which is perhaps what bills tuner used?? My Tuner uses a different "full race" manifold for the gt40 so i guess even this one has it's limits.

LOL

1.8t is not same fitment as Evo...

ones sits in front of engine one behind.. kinda makes things tricky for clearance.. ;)

yes the 1.8t certainly has alot of clearance issues with big turbos, good ickle engine though.

you never heard of xs-power manifolds?

crack tastic... but for the price give it a go and let everyone know how long it lasts before cracking on you.
