Error on 1.6 Petrol

Any ideas on this one people:

17811 - EGR System: Regulation Divergence
P1403 - 35-00 - -

Can't work out what it maybe apart from something to do with the exhaust system maybe? faulty sensor somewhere?

The EGR - Exhaust Gas Regulator valve (N18) is faulty mate. You need to check its output but I'd reccoment a new one.

I don't have a lot of knowledge of these on a petrol but the info above is from the Ross-Tech site.
