Hi,

My LCR has decided to bring on the excess pollution warning light, i've done a search to see what it could be but i was wondering if you knew which was the most common thing to go. The car runs fine no jerks etc so i'm sure its not misfiring or anything.

Also is it common for the fan to come on a lot in this weather, these engines stay hot for a long time once driven too?

Thanks for your help,

Rob

i've got same problem with my 2003 225 cupra r. pollution light appeared the other day but every thing is working fine and haven't noticed any change in performance. i've tried running a scan with vag.com but no fault codes recorded. got any ideas anyone.

Can anyone point me in the direction of where i can buy the connector and software to read the codes, Seat want over a 100 pounds just to read the code and i think thats a rip off to be honest for what is no more then 15 minutes work so would like to get my own.

Thanks guys.

You can buy code readers on ebay for around £40

Or you could buy a Vag com cable and download the freeware version to a laptop?

Brought the whole kit with a hand held reader in the end, more money but its meant to be more reliable and work i am told.
