Hi, iv had a quote on a complete custom exhaust, stainless steel, from the manifold all the way thru,

im having the actual bore of the exhaust half an inch wider and having it de cat`ed (with the potential to put it back in for mot`s) with one middle box then leading to the back with 2 ends, one either side of the bumper with a 4 inch oval shape,

the garage have quoted me 350 quid fully fitted which i dont think is too bad but will it make that much difference to the car, speed, response etc,

cool, i want it sound well nice, well thats what im hopin for anyway lol,

cant wait now, should be very soon,

Hehehe just had a closer look at the picture, see lots of nice wire, lovely button .... a couple of zip ties, scotch locks ... a nice relay and ONE resistor - guess that's the extent of the circuitry then

i was under the impression that if you de-cat the leon you will get fault codes because of the second lambda sensor realising there is no cat present. i know arosaracer has a magnex de-cat and full exhaust on his LCR but i think he has had his second lambda sensor mapped out.

You're right. You need to have a remap that can remove the use of that sensor or else you'll get all manner of error codes and warning lights, plus a very real possibility of limp-mode which means sod all performance.

I think i have nackered my cat as i keep getting the old 16804 and its not flagging as intermittent.

can you not put the 2nd o2 sensor outside the exhaust system so it thinks the cat is at mega efficiency as there is nothing but clean air hitting it? (obviously put it in a box or something otherwise it will fail in no time with all the road dirt etc hitting it)

block of one end of a big socket with a cap and weld and weld the lambda into the other end! ta da! easy peasy!

ive just had mine de catted and it sounds absoulotly LOVELY pops and bangs and sounds so nice when im giving it some beans
