Exhaust blowing in 2 places

Just been out changing my fuel filter and spark plugs on the cupra.

Once the filter was fitted I started the engine with the car still on stands, so that I could check for any fuel leaks. All was ok there , but I noticed some pretty bad leaks from my exhaust !

I have a leak at the joint between the cat and centre section , and also on the joint between the backbox and the centre section. These are right on the joints and to be honest the clamps look pretty ****ed !

Whats the best way of sorting these leaks , also being a lasting repair ?

Also would these leaks be losing me any power ?

get some new clamps from seat dealer if std exhaust use gum gum exhaust sealent on both joints job done

Yes you would be loosing power! If the job is done how it should be with gum gum and really clamped down it will be almost a permanent fix

To do a good job of it I dont have to dismantle the exhaust at these joints do I ?

i took mines to a garage and got them welded for £10 , easy and cheep
