Hi all,

anyone got any ideas where I might get a front pipe for my imported Cupra?
The UK spec front pipe includes the Cat, imported is from manifold to just before the cat. I have been informed (by ATS) that I would need to get the pipe fabricated.

Anyone got other options?

Cheers!

Cheers for the replies guys,

it is RHD, the guy in ATS showed me their brochure, and all the Leon zausts have the first join / connection after the Cat, therefore all the front pipes include the Cat.
Mine has a join before the Cat, between manifold and Cat, and it's not where the pipes been cut for a decat or anything like....

well I'm confused.

Can't get pipe from pipewerx or blueflame for the same reason....

HELP

OK, with great thanks to Awesome GTI, I think they have the answer, the separate downpipe is a euro only fit, not available in the UK, the only performance exhaust that do one to fit is an APR 3" downpipe at £995+vat.

From what I can make out after 20+ emails and phone calls today, I should be able to replace the 2 front sections with the 1 UK front pipe, or else get a downpipe fabricated at JP exhausts...

Surely a custom exhaust fabricator - the likes of Powerflow - can make this for you to your spec? You could even have it made to look and sound standard-ish if you're selling the car.

All sorted, It appears that the other European countries arn't money grabbers like the UK.
European Leons have a separate downpipe from the cat, UK has all 1 pipe so the dealer can charge £700+vat, obviously with the European you have the option of just changing the downpipe.

Anyways, the cat and rest of the system are fine, very little corrosion so I'm booed in at Longlife exhausts, Leeds to fabricate a new pipe, they say the cost will be around £120 with lifetime garantee.
