Exhaust options

Hi guys,

my girl friend has a tdi arosa and the exhaust is starting to give her a few problems, started with the back box and now it sounds like the middle section.

Have you any ideas on a good replacement for her and a good place that she can buy it from?

cheers in advance! !:)

I'd look at getting a 'custom-built' one from an exhaust specialist - it'll be cheaper than SEAT, and will often come with lifetime (or at least long) guarantees.
They can usually make one up to match the old one too if she doesn't want to modify the car, so it'll be the same style but just in a different material. :)

I can't recommend anywhere though as I don't know where you live.

I bought some parts from a website called onlineautomotive. The exhaust and cat were quite cheap but, required some extra adjustments when it came to fitting it. Still rattles a little bit and the pipe sags slightly in the middle. The only aftermarket off the shelf exhaust for the Arosa that I know of is made by a company called Supersprint. Now I have no idea what they are like at all - so it could be pants. Your better off as Loops suggested getting a custom made one which, is rarely cheap but, will last. Or buying a new one from Seat which will avoid a dodgy fitting exhaust at a later date.

Hello there. I also have a TDi Arosa. its an 02 plate and the exhaust had corroded and snapped. I went for an aftermarket custom stainless cat back system. The total price was £230. The car feels more responsive and has a great little deep note while driving and a great little rip when in high revs. I didnt think a TDi could sound so good. I would recommend this option to anyone whos looking at replacing their exhaust!

thanks guys,

think poss a powerflow system might be answer then. try and make it as close to standard as we can get.. of course a little extra noise will be ok.. tho dont want her looking like a boy/girl racer lol.

Supersprint tend to be dear from past dealing with them. but stuff is of a good standard..

thanks again.
