Hi guys,

I've been looking around for a new zorst for my cupra for a while now, and I don't really fancy the miltek.

I understand that it's a good, proven product and respect it for that, but it's not for me.

I've been looking at AWE and Eurojet exhausts instead, and they have systems for the Golf V GTI.

Then i found JBS autodesigns project car - a mk2 Leon FR, which have the same bumpers etc, as my cupra, and they run a 3" eurojet exhaust.

... Of course that got me thinking! :p

Is Golf V GTI exhaust systems the same as the mk2 Cupras? So that i can buy almost any exhaust for the Golf V GTI, and with relative ease mount it on my Cupra? Or is there some fabrication involved in getting a GTI system to fit a Cupra (FR) like JBS has done?

Best regards,
Robroy

I have the Eurojet exhaust on my cupra from JBS. It wasn't a perfect fit, but a couple of hours in JBS more than capable hands and the fit is better than I would've hoped from a custom built system!

Oh and the noise is AWESOME!!!

Great! Just the reply I was looking for! :)

Is your system the catback or turboback exhaust?

Thanks to DanGB as well. - I've wondered about this for a while, and came to the conclusion that it might fit. :)

I have the full turbo back system. I would offer to meet you so you could have a look and listen, but Denmark is a little out of the way for me! :D

I would of thought the manifold end of the exhaust would be a fair bit different on a TDI.

Just to not that not all systems from the Golf GTi are interchangeable with the Cupra/FR.

I know there is issues with the APR RSC system not fitting correctly.

General rule is cat back's all fit the same. It's more the downpipe and cat that'll cause a headache.

hmm perhaps this is the issue they were refering too...like the rear 'can' not fitting behind.
When I was talking DP's I was refering to another exhaust manufacture who said they tried and failed. But maybe it's all sorted now...they've had nearly 6months extra development time since the problem arose.
