Turns out you can add the warranty, so long as it's before you register it. Just depends which sales person you speak to.

Ah OK, good to know for next time as its too late for me now! :)

Car ordered Jan 21 and no build week yet. Starting to feel jealous when I see the posts of build week within a few days of order. In danger of taking it personally soon.
Tried calling dealer today, but its a small multi franchise place, and SEAT man is off until Friday, so I couldn't even get any vaguely reassuring but commitment free waffle.

Submitted my order for FR 5DR 1.4 Tsi to our company car fleet management team today.

Specked with LED illumination, Convenience, Tech and ACC

Just need to sell the Scirocco now (and get a build date!)

You could always try SEAT Customer Service to get an update if the Dealer is no use and you have waited a couple of weeks. Just give them your order number and they can provide you with an update. I've used them a couple of times to get updates on my car.

Humm, 4-6 week delay for ordering ACC - wondering if I should de-spec that option now to get the car sooner (14 weeks is a long wait!)

As someone new to SEAT I am curious as to what level of customer service is standard.

Called Customer Services for an update, only to be told the system was down and I would be called back with the information today.
Contacted the dealership, but my man was with a customer and would call me back.

As you can imagine (and the reason why I am writing this) I have heard nothing, and I am not amused.

Not critical, but not too far away, things like service, insurance, MOT and tax fall due on my current car and I would really like to know what is going on. May be worrying over nothing but the silence is not helping

In short, generally not great in my experience. It does depend on which dealer you go to, I find the Ipswich dealer in my area very polite with a good service department. The sales people don't really know what's on offer though.

When I say offer, like what finance deals are available. By the way, I managed to get the 0% deal today but lost out on my £250 contribution from the dealer which was part of the original deal.

I find my dealer sales and sales manager 1st class (Snows, Southampton). Known them for a while and they are going to let me know when the car is on the boat and even have a tracker app for my phone so I can see where it is. :D

My experience with the dealer in Portsmouth was not good until that is I started dealing the sales manager (Linda). I found that Seat UK were very good, when ever I called them they always returned my calls in a timely manner.

Yes, the deal would have been off if I had to pay an additional £1K but obviously there must be some form of commission to the dealer on the 0% finance or they would have pushed me to take the 4.9% PCP.

The dealer was giving you the BEST deal he could. If you take the PCP you have to pay the 4.9% interest on everything other than your deposit, plus the arrangement fee and the discharge fee. As long as you can afford the 50% deposit (inc trade in) the 0% finance with £1000 Seat contribution can't be beaten.
