I believe the 3 yr HP with 0% which requires a 50% Deposit with SEAT UK £1k qcontribution has been available since Q1 this year. So perhaps for peeps who ordered their car Q4 last year and agreed on a PCP the dealers didn't offer the new HP deal as they thought you were only after a PCP deal?
The 4.9% with £1k SEAT UK contribution is still available I believe too so good to have finance options now.

No, I wanted a hp but they said it would be a higher percentage.

Ah I see, I wonder then whether the finance deals you get are based on when your order was placed? Because when we ordered our cars the new HP 0% deal wasn't available so we cant get it for our cars? Just a thought, its a tricky one.

Also glad to see you're enjoying your new motor. I will try and test out that reversing beep you are referring to and get back to you :)

Ordered mine end of October and was offered 3 yr 0% finance. In the end took the car on a 4.6% pop.

Ah I see, was you given that offer back in October or just recently when you signed finance paper? I'm happy with the low interest pcp deal as that suits my needs but just curious why Gaffer was not offered the deal as he wanted it?

Offered it back in October.

Went into the SEAT garage today and asked about the deal. At first they said I wouldn't be able to change and when I explained that I was aware of a 14 day cooling off period they made a phone call and turns out I can change, a little complicated but the process has started. 50% deposit and 0% finance should be on it's way.

Also, I got my warranty in the end, albeit for only 75k miles, so you can order it before the car is registered. You get told one thing from one person and another thing from another person. As long as it gets sorted I will be happy as they're very polite which I can't say about the other SEAT dealers I have dealt with.

Apparently the 0% deal wasn't available back in Oct, although I did ask last Thursday if there were any HP deals and I was told there was just a 7% one and I would lose my £1000 contribution. This forum has saved me money on more than one occasion, an absolute must for a savvy SEAT owner. Saving me 4.7% interest is worth a few bob.

Week 10

Ordered my Leon SE 1.6 TDI DSG on 31/01/14 and dealer notified me today that I've got build week 10!!! I'm very pleased.

I had been very torn between a Golf or the Leon, but trawling through this forum and seeing the enthusiasm from you guys was one of the things that swayed me....so thanks!

Options added:
  • Navigation system
  • Convenience Pack
  • Full LEDs
  • Winter pack
  • Panoramic sunroof
  • Carpet mats
  • 3-year extended warranty
  • Parking sensors, front and rear
  • Lane Assist

I thought all the options might hold it back, but thankfully not. :funk: Dealer reckoned I would probably have it this side of April!

I guess the FR might take longer?

When he was checking the system he saw that an order placed before mine had been brought forward by two weeks, and said that week 10 would be the latest build date, but it could happen earlier.

I think the options you go for might also affect the order of the cars. I know from Zboyd's car adding a sunroof was likely to delay things a bit (although in the end he got it really quite quickly).

Ordered ours the day after you. Hopefully ours will be built in a similar time frame.

The sunroof was part of my order as well...

it's still odd that some receive the build week immediately (3-4 days) while others have to wait 2-3 weeks for the same info... maybe dealers communicate with SEAT Spain in a different way, or some just don't care and do not check for updates too often.

Find it odd that build dates seem a bit of a lottery.
Never ordered a factory build car from anyone before so can't quote from experience with other companies. is this normal for other manufacturers?
In a former life I worked supporting BMWs order system. There an order was linked to a build slot the dealer already had reserved. A bit tough on the dealer, as they had to use the slot whether they had an order or not, but it kept the buyer happy.

Gaffer, glad you got it all sorted out in the end :)

With regards to the warranty how did they add this on for you, did they realised that you did in fact have it on the order form? I too faced a similar situation as I was thinking of adding the extended warranty when I went to sign the finance papers but was told it had to be added on at the ordering stage
