I'm glad the mirror dip is sorted, dont know why they had problems in the first place as the way you've described the operation of it mirrors my 5 year old Golf Mk6 so it's hardly new technology.
Where do you acquire the exact the dates for the different stages of transit?

So SEAT UK CS gave me the details regarding the port info, I got my exact Build date from the link Labmousee provided in the 'What Build Week is my Leon' thread http://partsale.eu/parts-catalog/catalog/ESE517/
I got the rest of the info from my Dealer

Have you been given an estimated build week yet? I would say that once you have a build week you will get the car within a month from that point.

Will be with dealer sometime in Feb.
Negotiated with the dealer to hold until release of 14 plate.
My car is being built this week, do you think I could pick it up from the factory? Could they do a pdi in Spain? Just a thought.

Cupra 280 DSG SC ordered yesterday. Should get expected build date soon, but should be due around March/April all being well.

Really?! Damn that's a quick order for a newly released car.
Officially earliest customer delivery on the DSGs is down internally as April/May, however there has been discussion of being as early as March, so fingers crossed.

ordered mine a week ago, they said that it is a two month wait to arrive in Greece plus a two week red tape procedure (registration and number plates)
Getting bored waiting for my car, I went to the Ford dealership today and a Fiesta ST is available within a week. Only problems, no climate control or 10 speaker sound system and slightly worse fuel economy. But a whole lot cheaper with the deal ford can give me, waiting for their final offer but potential could be 5000 cheaper to buy over 3 years. That's a lot of money to spend on fuel.
The Fiesta isn't the same 'class' of car though? It's a supermini vs. a small family car.
A more fair comparison would be something like Ibiza Cupra against the Fiesta surely?
