easy apr stage III gt2871r turbo with their intercooler and hpfp you are aiming over 420whp

Full APR Stage 3 can give with 98RON fuel approx. 350whp and 385-400hp from engine...

then you put rods and pistons and you can aim at 450+whp then you meth and you are near the 500whp

APR Stage 3 could give 400whp with 100oct race file (104-105RON oct).. Pistons are not problem with that power and APR says that OEM rods can handle approx. 350whp+... If you like to use 400whp / 100oct race file, its better to replace rods for stronger...

Cupra has already stronger structure comparing to MKV GTI Golf, stronger pistons and rods...

Watermethanol inject. could raise the power approx. 10-15% and gives more air/fuel mix for the engine => more power... It also clean your engine and drop the engine heat down 100-200 Cels. You can use more boost/timing without detonation example. RaceFile 104-105RON with regular 98RON...

you need brembo big brake kit suspension lsd and reinforce axle wider front tires stickier rubber and you get a fwd monster
You dont need to upgrade brakes to brembos... LSD would be almost must , if you like to get those power levels to the ground...

you are talking in usa about 13000 to 14000$ with install i think

it cost approx. in USA.. 5999$ w/o hpfp and IC and 7299$ w/hpfp , w/IC.... APR Hpfp and better IC are must for those 350whp...

or you can go even custom atp gt3071rs with apr intercooler apr fuel pump rods pistons an all the above with revo tuning

Sure you can and the power levels would be something like 390whp+ with revo high settings...

the dyno chart from apr which i believe are whp says near 400 on 93 octanes

I've seen one gti mkv with rods pistons and apr stage III kit and meth and all the stuff making more boost and a lot more WHP, i can assure you YOU NEED rods one 2.0tfsi with atp gt3071rs blew a rod so if you are gonna spend 7000$ only in the kit which doesnt include install, you better put rods and if you are putting rods change the compression ratio with pistons and lower it to use more boost

lsd is a must big brake kit is a must you wont be able to stop the car as you are used to with standard kit

Its not 400whp with 93RON !! It's AGAIN ≈350whp/≈385hp with 98RON and with racefile 104-105RON oct fuel the engine could give AGAIN ≈400whp/≈450hp .... If you go higher than 350whp+ with stock rods, you should upgrade your rods, but I dont know how strong Cupras OEM rods are, cause these OEM rods are stronger than MKV GTI rods...Maybe Cupras OEM rods could handle those power levels or not, but Still I think so its better to change those rods for stronger ones...

Watermethanol increase that level another 10-20% more... Total benefits could be little bit higher

the apr kit is made for stock internals of the 2.0tfsi the 200hp version so the boost level isnt as high as it could be, if you change rods and piston you can achieve higher gains making more boost

I have had 140mph in my Cupra and that was not flat oot. Top speed should be 153mph IIRC. A mapped car should bust a genuine GPS proved 160mph I would say. I am sure I have seen a clip of a mapped Cupra with exhaust etc and the GPS showing 165mph or thereabouts (or whatever the kph figure was).

Where are they hitting 150? Going by the news this morning, they want to further persecute drivers for being "significantly" over the limit. Probably not worth the bother getting a car that can do 150mph just to be able to keep up with another car IMO.

By the way, assuming you are speaking about MK3 Golf VR6's, unless they are tuned and/or stripped, they aint gonna manage 150mph even though the speedometer says so.

I'm not the most clued up bloke in the world when it comes to mods so forgive me if this is a stupid question... but with 400~bhp, won't cornering/torque steer be a right bugger as it's a FWD car? I was hoping to (eventually) mod mine up to 280/300 bhp but I'm very concerned that I'll **** up that handling in the car, as that to me is spot on at the mo! Just want more of a mid range 'kick' so I was thinking fuel injector, remap and new exhaust system (when funds allow!)

P.S - "You dont need to upgrade brakes to brembos... LSD would be almost must , if you like to get those power levels to the ground..." - What's LSD?

Welcome bra! Fellow SouthAfrican.. check for a thread I started "How to build a 350hp Cupra".

I'd say it depends on how much you wanna spend and how important is yr warantee to you! But 400hp possible with lots of mods.

Can also check www.seat-sport.co.za to see wats done locally.

Plan tho for average expenditure is

CAI/DP/SW... and you'll be smiling altogether but R15000 :)
