Faulty MAF sensor

What are the symptoms when these start to go? as I got my car checked out yesterday and it seemed to be over 20% down on power. when in 3rd gear and on full boost takin to redline the guy said it was reading around 137-150, when it should have been reading around the 200 mark. I can't remember what the reading was measured in, but it something like - the power your wanting - the power the engines giving -and the true power the engines giving.

did a frequency test on the MAF back at base and it seemed to be fine it was just on the road things went 'funny'

hmmmmmmmmmmmm so is the car ok your happy with its performance on the road? or is it just the rolling road its down on? need to no this before i can help with the next step!!!

wasn't done on the rolling road, I was just getting it checked over by a guy. I thought it was fine until he said your down on power. He put it down to a faulty maf and I was just wondering if it sounds like this?

Yeah looks like he measured the MAF's airflow in real time using vag com

137-150 under full boost does seem low to me which would indeed indicate a faulty MAF.

Cars all sorted fautly sensor and also a very slight boost leak nothing serious but enough to trow it off power
