i am deffo interested, but need to inspect my car over the weekend to make sure my ice will all fit before ordering....
guide is excellent rob - looks easy ish to do with minimal of cutting/modifying! excellent!

Oh, one q tho.... if i install this without a front upper brace, will it mess the handling up? The front upper is on my "to do" list but its not on yet...

I decided to bond my rear brace into place today, using JB Weld, after messing around with the quick-release handles I got them pointing in uniform directions too. I used JB Weld behind the plates around the edges and filled in round the edge of the plate faces too, leave it to set overnight, hard as metal tomorrow, should increase the strength.

I got the brace locked up with the outer handles both pointing down, and the inner handles pointing to the rear, looks good.

I got my original boot brace back from GLM polishing today, polished to a mirror finish for £10 - yes £10! The brace was originally a rough, textured finish - now it is smooth mirror polished.

Here it is installed below the other brace, both can be removed in about 5 mins, just the brackets stay:

GLM do an awesome job of polishing stuff, very nice to deal with too. I'll be selling my spare intake manifold soon which they're polishing up too. Try GLM for anything you want polished, they are really good.

I'm off to hoover my boot carpet now! :D

Ron please give more info about your original boot brace. How much does it cost ? Where can it be found ? Did you install it yourself ?

Who's Ron?

The lower boot brace is an OMP Honda Integra 98> brace, part number MA1834, cost £82.77, got it from here: http://www.strutbracer.co.uk/tables/honda.htm

Only needed to drill 2 holes as 2 other suitable holes are already there, installed it myself yes. I subsequently removed the main bar and sent it off to be polished by GLM, it's only 2 large socket bolts holding the main bar in place.

Don't believe they are to buy new. Best to keep an eye out for them on auction sites for 2nd hand ones. Pretty rare now though.
