I think we need a big group hug . We are all here to make friends and help each other out. Been watching this thread for a bit now. Maybe it should be left as ...... If you want to say your bit by slating/ whatever you want to call it, then you are intitled to your say ( if it right or wrong ) . If not , then me personally would leave it as that ( again your entitled to your say ). Messages are coming across as getting a little heated, but no one wants that.
Again ...group hug is the way forward ( just no leg rubbing pls )

So does that mean then that you agree that from that point, it should have stopped, or do you still maintain that continued persecution of the OP is perfectly reasonable, acceptable and appropriate given that you'd already taken the action you felt neccessary and others had called for?

I haven't thought about it. I'm just pissed off about the OP scamming at least 2 new cars and I think something should be done.

The fact that the thread is still going on is just keeping the forum ratings up as far as I can see. I'm not bothered. It seems that it's only really you that is. Maybe you should PM him and make him feel all warm inside.

That's just ridiculous and antagonising quite frankly. You are clearly so highly strung over this issue that nobody is going to change your mind, and it's just a shame that the way you choose express yourself is to mock and insult other people.

How about this, we just agree to disagree - I can't be chewed with a back-and-fore any more. It's not like we're ever going to become bezzie mates, and I'm not going to resort to responses that make fun of you to the ridiculous.

I won't be insulted here, in the same way that I have not insulted anyone else.

Let's just hope that our paths don't cross in future, and we can both be adults about this and move on.

I disagree.

You should have a fight to the death with laser monkeys and chocolate cake.

Could you send me a picture of one? Are they new? Any warranty? :D

Well, in typical VAG standard, they come with a 2 year warranty although they're supposed to last 4 (y'know, like their cambelts).

One thousand dollars of money is bang on. You can paypal me the monies :)

I must admit, I hadn't read this thread beyond the first couple of posts about someone excited to be driving a new car. I opened it up again to see 11 pages of, at times, quite vitriolic comments (on both sides).

Whether the OP is still here or not, it might be handy to look at a few facts:
DLA would be granted to his mother irrespective of whether she drove, got someone else to drive her, or used taxis. Taxpayers are not 'losing out' because she has this car.
Motability is a charity, and not funded by taxpayers directly.
The telling comment in the statement quoted previously is " that cars must be used for the benefit of the disabled person". Obviously this statement isn' t the definitive text on the scheme, but the omission in that quote is "solely", i.e., solely for the benefit of the disabled person.
The OP appears to fit all the other criteria, e.g., lives with the car's keeper, uses it to drive her around.
There's no evidence that the OP has lied to obtain the car e.g., by selling on or renting it to anyone else.

He may have been a bit stupid by calling it, "my car", but does that amount to any more than a bit of over-enthusiasm? Maybe as the sole driver of the car he's had a disproportionate say in the choosing of it, but as far as I can see it's all within the rules.

An old Socialist maxim was, "from each according to his means, to each according to his needs", and I heartily disapprove of those who abuse that generosity, but this case appears at worst to be a slight bending of the rules and by no means the worst instance that I'm sure a lot of people here can recite.

In short, get a grip.

I'm not going to quote the specifics on how silly your post is, because nearly everything you've mentioned IS contained within this thread, and the evidence with it of how the car is being sub letted to him by his mother and how he is using it for 20,000 personal miles without taking his mother anywhere.. Maybe read before next time commenting.

Anyway, back to monkeys. I'm now offering buy one get one half price.
