yeh it's dificult to know what to expect....as what I may think is a massive vibration may be nothing to someone else or vice versa

Very true.... well if your ever near Gatwick i live about 20-30 mins from there, give me a shout and i'll take you for a spin in mine you can see for yourself then..

well to be fair now I've thought about Ive not heard of anyone saying it so bad that they taken it off, or any bad reviews etc so I'msure it will be ok!

I just can't wait to get it on the car to see!

also really excited about my HIDS!!

ok tip for the lights.

IF you can point your car at the far wall of your garage far away and chalk a line where the beam cuts off.

Do the swap over and then see if they still point to the line.

if not get em alligned, if so your probs alright.

right half way there....fitted the dog bone and my LED side lights, just waiting for my HID kit to arrive now!

As for the side lights, I love them they are the perfect colour!

Now the dog bone.......

found the guides on here very useful and the job didn't take long at all, about an hour from jacking the car up to putting all the tools away.

I think the tip someone mentioned using some thread lock is a good idea.

Also supporting the gearbox with trolley jack and wood, makes it so much easier to get the mount in and out. As raising the jack moves the gearbox away giving you more room to work in.

As for the results...well I have to say I'm a little disappointed:-o

Maybe it's because everyone on here raves about them and say that they are sooo great etc, that I was expecting it to do more than what it actually does, or maybe its just because of the vibration issue.

Now don't get me wrong it does do what it says on the tin so to speak, it really does stop the car from lifting up, and gives a much smoother delivery of power. Also under heavy braking the car doesn't point the nose down.

Maybe its just because its new and needs time to wear in, but the vibration is pretty annoying I find, mainly at standstill and when accelerating. (which is like 80% of driving lol)

So my plan is to leave it on for a couple days...or a week or so just to see if it gets better as it wears in.

I also read on one of the ftting guides you can put one of the OE halfs back in, if the vibration is too severe? Has anyone done this? I might try it if it doesn't get better.

anyones thoughts and comments welcomed

well just to update how I've been getting on with the dog bone.....done a couple hundred miles and still a lot of noise and vibration...kind of similar to that as if I had a loud exhaust!

however did an oil change today and thought I'd take the dog bone off whilst the car was on the axle stands. However just as I was about to put the old bushes back on I suddenly realised that perhaps at first I had put the bushes on wrong......So I looked at it agian and put the bushes on correctly....put it back on the car and finished my service then went for the test drive!

and I'm happy to say it's a LOT better! there is no vibration now, its quiet and the car feels great! I'm left feeling like a bit of a n*b for not fitting it correctly in the first place....but now happy! the car is feeling very smooth!
