Hi Guys,

I've just been out and done my first proper logging as I think something isn't quite right with my car. (Remapped LC with induction kit).

I'm getting this error frequently:

Code:
17705 - Pressure Drop between Turbo and Throttle Valve (check D.V.!)
        P1297 - 35-00 - -

But can't find any split hoses and the DV is a new forge one. So, this led me down the broken MAF route.

I've posted my results below, and I'd be interested in knowing if you think there's something amiss.

The peak air mass is 162 g/s - does this sound reasonable? From what I've read this might be under a bit, but doesn't sounds broken.

Also - would you expect the actual boost to read the same as requested at the time of planting the thottle? I assume that the turbo takes a while to wind up to full speed, hence the difference at the beginning of the run, but I would also expect the engine to ask for less boost at the start?

If I use the g/s muliplied by 1.31 I get a bhp of about 210 bhp. I would have expected this to be a little higher.

Here's a log of 003 & 115

Is there something else I should log as well, perhaps timing pull?

Cheers, Will

Replace the MAF, its knackered.

Remapped K03 should read around 150g/s
Remapped K03S should read around 180g/s
Remapped K04 should read around 200g/s

surely that'll depend on the map?

158g/s reliably from a k03 on std kit disproves that theory.

Rough figures, for a standard car with just a remap. Do you think they are off?

Sure a sorted Ibiza Cupra R with lots of bolt on bits done could probably pull that.

I think that your numbers are off & his map is a tame one

'normal' maf failure flatlines at a given airflow, but this one pulls to the top of the logged rev range, rather than about 4000rpm & plateauing off.

Also, ive got an SPS3 coming through the post soon, on a standard 225 engine, bar remap and 007p, what boost and timing would be a good place to start off from?

sorry, can't remember really, but not too much boost, and not too much timing 6/6 is normally what most people should run
