I couldn't get the car up to full redline due to space really but will do some more when I get a chance. What sort of signs should I be looking at here? Everything look ok to people?

Thanks in advance!!

I am using lite yes, just hooked it all up then firstly did a scan of the car to ensure there aren't any errors. Then went into measuring blocks and selected to run logs to the engine. The two blocks I ran were 003 and 020, did some reading and was mentioned to run these two together. 003 is for maf boost etc and 020 is for seeing your timing etc

Then 4th gear at 2000rpm I hit start and put my foot down. Ideally I would had teken it to a higher rpm but will do so another time. Soon as I lifted off I hit stop where the software will save a copy of the log in a designated folder on your laptop.

Hope this helps you get started mate. I'm only learning this now so will let you know if I learn anymore :)

Cheers mate, il check that out as well. I did the calculation of max g / 0.8 which I believe is the way to do it correct?

Really I need to get the car up to max rpm to get the best picture. Realistically what should a OEM map LCR be hitting?

Thanks mate, appreciate the help and guidence. Il try and get some logs of block 115 which I have just been reading is Requested Vs. Actual boost so that will be interesting to see

Jeepers EL, your G/S is waaaaaaay to low, should be 180+ but at the same time you need to rev higher, 6.5-7krpm.

Also i always calculate G/S x 1.25 = BHP.

Realistically its very hard to log 4th gear to redline an keep your license.3rd runs from low rpm to 6.5/7k rpm will do fine and should give you a good guess'timate, CF's might be a bit lower in 3rd due to decreased load but it will do the trick.

Log 002+020, then 115+118 then 002+031, that covers the main area's we need to look at G/S, IDC's, boost, Turbo DC's, IAT, CF's and fueling.

P.S they need to be logged in paires(block+block), i.e 115 will give you boost requested V actual and 118 will give us Turbo/N75 duty cycles, so together we can see what Duty cycles it takes for the turbo to produce the actual boost.

I wasn't sure whether 3rd gear runs were ok, will give it a go in both to see how I get on. Thanks for explaining those blocks and how they should be run together, makes a lot of sense. Can't remember whether the vag com lite allows to run all of those blocks but will give it a try indeed :)

Your theory of g/s x 1.5 is bang on for my bhp ;)

Runnin 200 g/s at mo and that's with new badger 5 tip and BMC CDA filter. Am changing to a Jeyex cone filter, heat shield and cold air feed soon tho as been proven to give even greate flow over CDA, which in fact turns out to be quite restricred
