Hi guys

I've got some 17" porker rims I wanna fit but need some tyre advice

The wheels have ET55 and are 7.5 wide front and 9's on rear, so

a. what width pcd adapters would be best

b. got some 205/40/17's for the front, would 215/45/17's be ok for the rear?

As for the suspension it's currently lowered 40mm on springs but I've got coilies to go one when I get 5

Cheers
Ben

I think the mismatch can cause problems with ABS/traction control as it thinks a wheel is going faster than the other. 40 also looks better imo

If you look in the mk4 FAQ section there's a what wheels fit thread and some porka ones in there to see what offset you want

http://www.willtheyfit.com/ put both tyre sizes in and you can see the difference in speedo, size etc :)
Also tyrestretch.com for how the stretch will look

195/40/17 on the fronts, 215/40/17 on the rears will be perfect stretch.

As for the adapters, do you want the wheels to be flush with arches or poking out or tucking in?
If its flush you want, go for 35mm front and 25mm rear.
