fitting a new brake light bulb

hi

i've got a '03 reg ibiza and my brake light bulb needs to be changed but i can't get the back light off. can anyone help please??

well i bought the bulbs from there and they said they wouldnt fit them incase they snapped the clips are something.

i thought it would have been easy enough to do myself, does anyone know how please?

If it's the MK4, then you need to undo the two screws and then apply pressure into the car at the same time as pushing the light out. Unfortunately it's a case of brute forcing it the first time. Once it's been out a few times, then it gets easier.

Theres two metal spring clips holding it in place, after removing the screws you just angle the light cluster out slightly and pull . When refitting make sure the rubber seals are in right. Theres a thread on this in Mk 4 Ibiza somewhere.
If you think thats awkward try replacing a headlight bulb

thats worked. yeh i noticed the clips. i wouldnt attempt the headlight this was enough hassel
